Mac born Dec. 6, 2008
REDOOR FARM fall 2008
PUPPIES AVAILABLE-Born in September 2008 and December 6, 2008--Picture of December puppy (Mac). Havreskippy2 AKC, pedigree follows,is the sire of these puppies. Our schipperkes have tested NEGATIVE for MPSIIIB, a genetic disease found in schipperkes. Please do not purchase a schip unless they have been tested. A copy of genetic test results sent on request. We also guarantee good health with vet checks for hips, patella, bite and tests for hernias. Dew claws and tails taken by vet at 3 days of age. Winter, but the schipperkes don't mind at all. In fact, most of them love the snow. When they are outside, it's fun to see their black coats and noses white with snow Just a bit about schipperkes. People are intrigued by the name and when they see a little black dog, they will ask? "What kind of dog is it?" Recently, Bill had the puppy at the vet for shots and someone thought the puppy was a kitten! Schipperkes have been called "the wash and wear dog" as they are so easy to care for. They adapt easily to life on boats (the little skipper), farms, house pets, cold weather, warm weather--you name it. They especially like to burrow into snowdrifts. They are rascals and are playful like cats. The schipperke is definitely a COMPANION dog. They do not like to be left alone. We have found that once a person has had a schipperke, they aren't satisfied until they have another. We test our breeding stock for the genetic disease, MPSIIIB and will continue to test. Be sure and check for hernias from the umbilical cord and also on either side of the groin. Recently, my daughter from out of town, bought an expensive puppy from a pet store and brought it to show me. I had the puppy on its back and noticed that it had "bilaterial hernias!" a hernia on the inside of each groin! Supposedly, this puppy had been checked by two vets, the breeder and the pet store owner. They did pay for the surgery, but you can't be too careful when examining a puppy. WE DO LOVE OUR SCHIPS. SHIPPING CHARGES: AIRFARE, PET CARRIER, SHOTS, VET EXAM $300 add to price of your dog.

Mybudsparky's offspring have tested negative for MSPIIIB, a genetic disorder found in schipperkes. Please make sure any schipperkes you purchase have been tested for this disabling disease. Report sent from lab on request. A gorgeous boy. Wonderful temperament and has produced excellent offspring. He's on the small size and well-built. Solid body, good eyes and ears. We have had him about three years.

CARLY UPDATE: Carly of the puppies whelped Sept. 2008. She lives in Florida now. Recently, she went on a Breast Cancer race with her mom and I understand that she made quite a hit. Here she is being held by a local policeman who took a fancy to her. We so enjoy having families keep in touch with pictures and updates.
