HAVRE'S RV
Havre's RV is an AKC male that we purchased from a breeder in Anamosa, Iowa. He is a medium schipperke weighing 8-10 lbs. and very friendly and sociable--except to other male dogs. He had a bath today and after his winter undercoat was brushed out he was just half as big. Check out his pedigree. We named him Harvey, which ended up being RV, but either left out the V when he was registered--or AKC left it out. Anyway, we call him RV ('arvey) RV has tested negative for MPS IIIB, which is a recently identified genetic disease present in Schipperkes and in humans. The clinical signs in dogs are related to brain disease. These signs include tremor, difficulty in balancing, walking and negotiating stairs and other obstacles.
